LP 15 "Winter Valley Shadows"

LP 15  "Winter Valley Shadows"
Oil on canvas, framed.
18.5"x 22.5" including frame.

SOLD

This painting is a view of a small valley at the end of a short winter day. The cows are gathered around to feed. Their lush pasture of summer is snow-covered and in deep shadow, now. The weak sun shines upon the south-facing wooded hillside, just long enough to melt the snow and provide some pleasant warmth for the herd.

LD 14  "Rocks and Rhododendron"
Graphite on paper
8"x10" overall including mat

Sale price $65.00 including shipping.

This is a small pencil drawing on paper. Again, this is one of my favorite subjects; a stream flowing through a dense forest. The thing I was really drawn to for this drawing was the way the water falls across the slick rocks and under the rhododendron. Guess the setting reminds me of when I was a kid, running through the woods with my friends playing Last of The Mohicans....(We were hooked on the story because of this great televised version on PBS when we were little.. Indians, muskets, colonial soldiers, damsels in distress. Yeah...guess we were a little weird) Anyway...hope you like it. Thanks for taking a look.

Thanks
